Discussions on Economics, Management and Finance in the Oil and Gas Industry held at KFU

Attendees of the “Economics, Management and Finance in the Oil and Gas Industry” professional retraining program became fresh graduates of the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing of IGPT KFU.

Elmira Giniyatullina, a fresh graduate of the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing, IGPT, KFU shared her impressions after successfully passing the final exam and noted that she flew to Kazan from Yamal specifically to undergo training at the CATQMM:

“I work in the logistics department and as I live in Yamal, the region which is focused on oil and gas industry, I want to improve my knowledge in this field and improve my career. My friends working at Rosneft, Gazprom, and Lukoil advised me to study at the Center for Advanced Training of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies, KFU. I am very pleased with the training. We were trained by highly qualified industry professionals. I will be able to apply the shared knowledge in my future professional activities. In addition, I liked the distance learning part of the program, everything was very accessible and understandable, you can study at any convenient time. During two in-person sessions, students of the CATQMM attended lectures of Tatyana Paley, head of the general management department, Rustem Akhmetov, professor of the department of corporate finance management, Igor Kokh, professor of the department of financial markets and financial institutions, Marina Orlova, assistant professor of economic security and taxation  as well as lectures of Associate Professor of the Department of Human Resource Management Vladimir Malaev.

During the lectures and practical classes, the following topics were examined in detail: the institutional features of the Russian economy, the economic mechanism for the functioning of companies, finance, management and marketing at oil and gas enterprises, as well as human resource management issues. The course attendees acquired theoretical knowledge in the field of economics, as well as practical skills in project management, financial management, human resource management in the oil and gas industry and completed an internship at the enterprise.

In addition, Ildus Chukmarov, Director of CATQMM, gave his lecture on personal effectiveness for the attendees of the “Economics, Management and Finance in the Oil and Gas Industry” training program, the lecture covered “smart” goals, time management, Pareto law, and SWOT analysis of life, Deming’s enhancement cycle and personal performance tools. One of such tools is the “Diary of high quality life”, which Ildus Chukmarov presented to the audience as a gift.
