Fundamentals of geomechanics has been discussed in KFU

The ceremony of delivery of diplomas  on  advanced training to the employees of leading oil and gas enterprises took place in  the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing  at the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies at KFU.

A group of 8 managers and specialists of Rosneft Oil Company, LUKOIL-Engineering, KMG Engineering, Roxar Service from Atyrau (Kazakhstan), Moscow, Tyumen, Perm and Ufa attended lectures delivered by the lead teachers of Kazan Federal University during which they studied the fundamentals of rock mechanics, considered the basic concepts, terminology, the current state of rock mechanics, the basic relationships of the mechanics of a solid deformable body, the mechanical properties of rocks and massifs. In the  geomechanical  core  analysis  laboratory  of IGPT the participants studied the stressed-deformed state of the earth crust, global, regional and local stresses, as well as  the methods of reconstruction of tectonic stresses.

Ildus Chukmarov, Deputy Director for Marketing of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of KFU and Director of the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing, expressed his thanks  to the participants  for choosing the Center to upgrade their skills, congratulated them on the coming New Year and handed in memorable gifts – the authorial “Diaries of  Quality Life”:
