Kazan Federal University presented its developments at the International Conference “Geology and Geophysics – 2019”
In Ufa, the I International Research and Practical Conference “Geology and Geophysics – 2019: Science, Production, Innovation” completed its work. The meeting was attended by more than 400 representatives of national and international oil and gas and oilfield service companies, as well as employees of research centers and universities, including Kazan Federal University.
The conference became a large platform for communication and exchange of professional experience and raised a number of critical issues facing the oilfield services industry today. The conference was organized by one of the largest enterprises Joint Stock Company Bashneftegeofizika, a partner of Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of Kazan Federal University
The conference program included round tables and thematic sessions, covering topical issues of oil and gas complexes. The key areas of the forum were: regional and thematic research works in the Volga-Ural and West Siberian oil and gas basins, new basins in Eastern Siberia and the Arctic, equipment and technologies for high-tech geophysical survey, as well as modern geophysical instrumentation.
Danis Nurgaliev, the Vice-rector for Research and Director of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of Kazan University, in his presentation focused on non-seismic methods of prospecting and exploration for oil and gas that are actively being developed and implemented by University scientists.
The delegation of Kazan Federal University visited the research and production centers of the enterprise and got acquainted with the instrumental facility. During the meeting with the company’s management, new projects on creating geophysical instruments were discussed.
Another topic of discussion during the visit was the development of personnel, namely the further training of employees in the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies at KFU., which has already established itself as a reliable partner. “We are going to create new projects jointly with the training center of Bashneftegeofizika , as well as special programs to meet the needs of the company”, shared director of the Center Ildus Chukmarov.
